It was shocking to see so many in block B and C throw in the towel and leave early yesterday. We're playing Man Utd who have steamrolled everyone and we gave it a proper go in the second half, get some perspective.

Disappointing to see, that's not the Palace way, or at least it didn't used to be.

Guilty!

Quite proud of the fact I have never really left early, even as a boy.

However, I will say the anger at seeing no left back for the third goal, just Man U as a c**ty corporation (not football team) and an hour 1/2 journey home for me with a 6:00 start led me to do otherwise.

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

I drove some kids and their mum to the game. It was the difference for them between a 1015pm and an 11pm bed time on a school night because of the difference getting back to the car and avoiding traffic. We agreed that we'd go any time in the last 10 mins if there was a 2 goal differential. So we did. I did feel terrible though.

We haven't had an "I'm a better fan than you" for quite a long time

I did.

Only the second time I've done it.

Bringing on Beneteke as a lone striker up front did it for me. Roy threw in the towel when he did that. I'd briefly hoped he'd bring on Ayew to chase the game, but then took of PVA. Didn't make any sense.

I was more surprised to see Arsenal fans on my train back from Clapham Junction. I know they kicked off 15 minutes before us, but still - how did they get there that quickly?

We seem to have too many fans who think Roy can do no wrong. Roy doesn't seem to learn. I'm not sure of other ways disgruntled fans can show their displeasure at his poor team selections and poor use of substitutions over and over again.

As Midlands says, we haven’t had a virtue signal (is that the right term?) for ages. As has been stated thousands of times people leave early for many reasons - transport issues, fear of crowded trains, traffic congestion, boredom, and so on. If staying till the end makes you feel good, just do so and belt up.

In addition to the fans who leave early, I'm also disappointed at the fans who stay to the end and then leave.

Being a real fan, I like to stay behind another hour or so on my own. That's proper hardcore.

As the football tends to ruin a good session I have an unofficial rule whereby I leave if we're 2 down on 75 minutes (unless we're playing decent football and might make a late charge, which isn't often).
3-0 at anytime is game over for me these days. I was in the pub back in Brighton by the 60th minute!

I was actually getting excited that we'd gone four up front with Myer pushing forward. If anything it was a bold sub...it appears we didn't quite get Schlupp in situ at LB...

I have no grouse with people leaving early on a school night. I did object to the mardy so- and-and a couple of rows in front of me who whinged at Roy and the team all night and then pushed off the moment the third went in. We are supposed to be 'supporters'

can we do one properly? full disclosure of everything we do that we think is good and bad about us as fans. I like that dorking eagle fella who posts sometimes. he can award points. I trust him to do it well.
