From schlupp playing in front if him?
Seems that since schlupp has been playing centre / left midfield, PVA hasn't been getting forward anywhere near ss much as he used to. Is this by instructions from roy. In theory he should still get forward, and schlupp cover him when he does. But doesn't seem to be working. I remember a few games when max wax playing there, him PVA and wilf played really well together.I appreciate schlupp played better lately and again assisted with the goal, but feel max woukd be better there given z run of games.

Don’t think it’s Schlupp at all. PVA has been poor for a few months now. Even his short passing goes astray often. Doesnt look comfortable and seems to have lost his way. Doesn’t have that bite about him anymore and looks like he isn’t caring enough. I’m surprised he’s being selected each week?

No. It's the fans that are suffering Van Arnholt. Switch Joel Ward there when Wan Bissaka is fit. He played there effectively before.

Let's keep the ball this season!

Yes, I think so. When in possession one needs a team mate to make himself available for the pass. Schlupp doesn't work back as much as I would expect. This is something RH needs to work on in training as the chemistry isn't there at the moment.

I’d say Van Aanholt has been comfortably the weakest link in an otherwise very strong defence this season. He offers far more going forward than defending, as opposed to AWB on the other side who, despite his inexperience, is fantastic at both. I think another left back to act as competition is a must in the summer.

PVA is a wing back, not a left back. He would be better with a back 3, but Roy doesn’t play that system, so puts him at left back. His defending is poor, we have conceded many goals from his area, his pace gets him out of trouble sometimes, but not against the good teams.

There was a thread on here a while ago about selling PVA to some Italian club who were reported to be interested.

Many fans said they would never sell PVA, as he is integral etc.

Integral to what exactly, I dont know. He is a poor, poor defender. Just ask Sunderland fans.

He should be a left winger by trade but he is perhaps not quick enough or good enough at final balls to be a specialist winger.

We ship a LOT of goals due to PVA and his lack of defensive chops.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

He's often being pushed onto his right foot where he's far less effective.

Teams are generally setting up well to make it hard for him to pass to Wilf. It's another reason I like Meyer. He knits the left together so nicely.

If you want to live in a world full of kindness, respect and love, try to show these qualities.

I think he is going through a trademark rough patch. maybe a few weeks on the bench and stick Schlupp in there with Mayer into midfield would be the obvious solution.
PVA has many good points, mainly on the attacking front and he has been playing well for the first dozen or so matches. Clearly a confidence player so need to show him the love once in a while. Roy sticking with him is not a bad thing but Sakho not around now to bail him out.
Lets not start to slate PVA, he is an effective player when on his game..

Any update on Pape Souare?

A shame he got injured when he did as he may have been given a chance with PVAs current form.

PVA needs dropping out full stop. As Roy loves Schlupp so much, stick him in at LB. Isn't it his position after all? Everyone's a winner.

You lot all need your heads examining. Seriously, playing Ward ahead of PVA.

There aren’t enough facepalms on the internet to sum up that idea.

Vive le Roy!
