I Wasnt sure if I should start a new post but feel this is a separate topic to other posts.
As has been said on other posts Andros has been immense for us this season and I guess most Palace fans would give him the player of the season status so far.
Wilf in my opinion is the most exciting player Ive ever seen in a lifetime of watching Palace from the days of Johnny Byrne,Peter Taylor,Vince Hillaire Don Rogers and Lombardo...Wilf ranks the highest imo.
But this season Andros has shown greater skills, speed and awareness and I believe has generally troubled defenses as much as Wilf,if not more.If he carries on in this current trajectory for further seasons, he will be up there with the above Palace greats.

Wilf has seemingly lost his enthusiasm a little and frequently ambles back following his sorties in attack.
I feel hes ready to move on and we should replace him with a player such as Gerard Deulofeu who I think would fit in well.
I shall seriously miss Wilf but he must go in my opinion, for his own sake as well as ours.

I disagree

Wilf is worth more than Andros
We shouldn't sell our talisman
And AWB is probably our player of the season so far.

I do agree that Wilf is not as good as last season but he's still a brilliant player that can win games for us.

Andros gives a lot of effort every game which is always great to see as a fan compared to Wilf's apparent disinterest from time to time.

However Andros does have the capacity to occasionally not match that with quality, although the same could be said for Wilf I suppose.

I would suggest Wilf is still the bigger asset, however I understand the post, Andros is a quality player that we're lucky to have and his performances this season, and of late, are far outranking Wilf's.

That said, I wouldn't sell either of them off the back of 10-15 games!

Now Zaha's got a bit of green grass ahead of him here... and finds Ambrose... not a bad effort!!!!

And to think there was talk of him going back to Newcastle not so long back although not sure it was fueled by Andros himself. Think Wilf edges it due to the tricks & flicks but I'd hate to lose either of them

Andros is exactly the type of player we need. Not only that, but he seems level headed and perhaps knows his limit - which has a big influence surely.

Wilf, if he was on the books at watford and available, he would never chose a club like us and we ultimately wouldn't be trying to sign him.

Thing is, recently AT has been consistently good, scored a worldie - wilf hasn't either.

Some fans really need to understand what kind of player we need and what a club can do for some players.

This was once a quality forum....

Andros is worth about £15M, Wilf north of 50M.
Wilf is wanted by virtually all the top 6, Andros wouldn't get in any of their teams. There's a world of difference though Andros's highlights reel is certainly improving and he is putting in some decent shifts.
He doesn't have 2/3 people on him every time he gets the ball though something Wilf has to deal with every game.

Who out of the top 6 has made a bid for him ? None of them are interested or they’d have bought him.
I don’t think that either would get in any of their starting elevens, great for us though.

Can’t believe that Zaha is spoken about as not reaching his peak yet and on another thread it was said that Townsend is slowing down and getting old. They are 26 and 27. Zaha has a lot more natural ability than Townsend , but mentally one is like a boy and the other one a man.

Townsends contribution to the team overall has been far greater than Zaha this season, no question, but Zaha would command a larger fee.
Go figure!

Wilf has had a couple of games where he has been marked out of the game that is all, Townsend is doing what he should do but he is doing the defending bit very well at the moment so shines brightly, teams can cope with one tricky player reasonably well but two gives them the
defensive shits, look at Spurs all fit.

Wilf is a threat every game no team can ignore him for one second, good on Townsend to step up like he is though, if he keeps it up we will finish above Everton like I said before.
