Could hardly refuse to give us that pen. The Spurs one was dodgy enough though with people offside FFS. Also it's funny how a high tackle in the first few minutes is a red card if you're Grimsby and play on if you're Spurs.

Cannot say we deserved to lose that game because we were chasing it unfairly at 1-0 and then 2-0, before the pen we were causing far more problems for them then they were us, all they had to do was defend after the first and second goals and everyone who goes to that ground understands how good they are at defending, not many better, very good manager they have....Newcastle were absolutely nuts.

Also it's funny how a high tackle in the first few minutes is a red card if you're Grimsby and play on if you're Spurs. this penalty lark is very weird to me, a shot that is goal bound and prevented should definitely be a spot kick and our kick today also because our player was free on goal from behind, but the Spurs penalty had at least two of our players around the ball ready to challenge not including van Aanholt's silly boot which as far as I can tell wouldn't have resulted in a free shot at goal, I feel free kicks in the penalty area are much more warranted in these situations, doing this will put a stop to players thinking about diving the second anyone comes near.
