Following Speroni's disaster at Anfield it is obvious we need an keeper ASAP With key cup and league games in the next month we can't wait on Guaita or Hennessey. Surely there are experienced number3 keepers at Premiership clubs who would welcome a few games.

Name an experienced number 3 anyone would want in goal ahead of Speroni even after that clanger? Rob Green? No thanks.

Vorm? Spurs won't use him as they have a decent number 2 now. Not sure if he'd be available but I'd take him as a number 2 for the rest of the season.

We should have snapped Vorms arm off seasons ago. Can’t see spurs letting him go leaving them with just Lloris and the handsome Italian.
In theory we’ve got Vicente, Hennessy, Julian to see us through (with hopefully the young Brazilian somewhere in the mix). Julian will retire and Hennessy surely moved on at the end of the season but I wouldn’t make any rash decisions off the back of that performance if I was Parish.

I have to agree, much as I dont want to. He might have done better with the first, but the 3rd goal is a massive howler.

He is pushing 40 and hasnt played in ages, it would have been a lot easier to come in at home vs Cardiff, but this is the big leagues.

I think Hodgson might be keen to play a different goalie in the next game, by hook or by crook.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

It's what you might call Hodgson's Choice, isn't it?

- Keeper who's nearly 40 and f***ed up last time out
- Newbie straight out the ACademy
- New keeper straight off the plane still with jetlag or
- Keeper with a goosed leg?

i still think Speroni could give us decent defense against a team at the bottom half of the table.

Liverpool at Anfield......not exactly shameful. One bit of bad luck for the high goal,

we all know Speroni has the experience, the brain, the brilliant past-performances that show us he CAN do it.

and as for his legs and reflexes ?

What age was Buffon when he played in the champions league/ world cup ?

a keeper is only as good as the players in front of him. Liverpool may win the Prem. So that is not the yardstick to measure Jules.

play him against Fulham.

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

First of all are you seriously comparing Speroni to Buffon?
“A keeper is only as good as the players infront of him”? So the Tranmere keeper could play for Barcelona then?
We all love him obviously but he should have had 2 of those goals, probably 3, if he was still up to it he would have but he’s far from up to it now.
I don’t see how it matters that it was away to Liverpool either, not one of those 4 goals were wonder goals and a shot is a shot wether it’s at Anfield or Exeter.Ive read so many comments slating everyone who dare have the opinion that he had a mare just because he’s a club legend.I love him as much as the next Palace fan and I won’t hold it against him but the bloke had an absolute shocker.Id hate to see him crumble now and let in a shed load of goals in his final few games for us so I say play the Tupper kid or the new Brazilian if he’s signed in time.

I would hate for that to be his last game, he has one or two chances for redemption, in the fact that he leaves on a positive - this hasn't changed anything, but it's always nice to leave on a high and i think he will recognise that too.

Agree with this, His second half performance was awful.

We have to get a replacement in or play the U23 kid.

Too risky for such an important game.
Think we need minimum 4 points from these two games, Southampton and Fulham.
