I think this comes from an unreliable twitter account so don’t hold your breath guys...although it would be good to have a quality player of his calibre in the palace ranks.

We weren’t in early enough for him and then a bigger club came in for him in the next window. Not sure what the issue is.

When "we" were in for him I believe that it was Sam Allardyce who was the driver of the deal which didn't happen as we left it too late and the selling club didn't have enough time to find a replacement. After Sam left and turned up at Everton it was him again who wanted Tosun still and I'm not sure that we were interested at that time (and at his increased price)
