Fulham, Huddersfield and Cardiff all crashed out of the cup. I reckon it's a very bad sign when relegation candidates lose to lower-league teams - another reason I was very relieved when Ayew got our last-gasp winner yesterday.

The right place at the right time

On the other hand, they can now "concentrate on the league", as we didn't in 2015/16.

Palace since 19 August 1972. Palace 1 (Tony Taylor) Liverpool 1 (Emlyn Hughes)

We did. I was being a tad ‘devil’s advocate’.

Leicester aren’t exactly having things their own way at the moment...

the FA cup should be strictly for the B team.

Certainly for anybody in a relegation struggle/title race/top 4 fight etc.

didnt Portsmouth win the FA cup and get relegated the same year ?

Kayla did Anfield & Old Trafford

Roy wants a chance at it. He knows we’ll be safe There are worse sides

He’s due to retire soon I’m sure he doesn’t want his legacy to be just making us survive two years

Not saying we’ll win the cup but I feel he’ll take it extremely seriously

No they didn’t get relegated that season.

You may be confusing them with Wigan.

Of the top teams seems Liverpool are the ones who don't bother with the cups.

Strange for a team that haven't won anything in years...

Putting all their eggs in the Premier league/Champions league baskets.

Guess that is a bigger prize for them to win.

If they were playing cloggers then yes
Protect the top players
Ffs this was wolves who are ATM an excellent side.
If a player was going to get hurt it would be through a strain etc. Umm lovren.
Not a tackle.
That could hapoen any time.
I would seriously take a cup to the premier league.
Years to get back but not many to win a cup.
My life complete if we won either of the two available.
