So after the Solanke move fell apart Roy’s comments and attitude spoke volumes especially the we,played work with what we have remark , so therefore and I hate to say this but no transfers (I think we all had our suspicions , however what I can’t figure out is if no one is coming in then why are we letting up to three players leave ? puncheon Williams and Kirby , I have no clue.

Still think we will get a striker in. Managers and Chairmen are like politicians don’t believe what they say. We did the right thing in dropping the Solanke move. There is no way Parish will not risk signing a striker surely he can see how much we need one. Will only be a loan though I reckon

If there are other players the club can bring in I won’t be adverse to that because we have a very small squad and we don’t have a lot to back us up.

“We are on the look out and the chairman and technical director are anxious to do what they can.”

Why not wait until you see who we get in. It’s still early days.

I will be befuddled if we don't bring a striker in on Loan.

Sorloth is rumoured to be going out on loan. Wickham is still a long way from full fitness. Benteke will be ring rusty when he returns.

We for sure need at least one striker in.

I would not be surprised if wr go for Defoe as a proven and experienced striker on loan and some rapid young slightly inexperienced foreign kiddie who is banging them in holland or something. We need options to be able to change it upbif we are chasing or even leading a game. 3 out then 3 in.

"f***ing hell we need a striker desperately, someone sort us out" doesn't put you in a good bargaining position. I fully expect the club to downplay our desperation to the media. Who knows, if Ayew gets another goal and we can say we've already got a scoring striker, might knock a few million off the starting price for a potential transfer.

Yeah imagine our current position means we will at least try to only go for the right player rather than signing any old shambles.

Whilst his comment "we will work with what we have" does suggest no transfer activity I still live in hope something will happen. Our attacking options have been so dire all season surely with the bar so low for us that we can at least get somebody over the line even in Jan ?

Rangers are after him and at this stage of his career he might prefer to go there?

Can Rangers afford his huge weekly wages though?
