I'm not much of a drinker.....more a social one. I tend to gravitate towards the most common stuff like Budweisers. So I thought why not branch out a little as well and have a little festive fun whilst doing it. So today marks the start of an nine day series where I rate nine reasonably well known beers and ales. Today kicks off the first but I'll play it safe and sample probably the most famous and internationally known aforementioned Budweiser......the tastes I got from this were fizzy, malty and hoppy....quite inoffensive. Bud is neither beer or ale in my book, maybe original Czech Budvar is ok, if one is being very generous.

Mind you I still haven't worked out how your pronounce it and even the Chinese seem to have different ideas. I say Singtao (silent T) others pronounce the T. Anyway it's a nice beer from what I remember from my drinking days. Cobra of course is the go to in Indian Restaurants and Peroni for Italian. Recommend the Plum Porter available in the spoons at the moment - tasty and 4.8 at £2.15 a pint :-)
