Loved Brightys winner in the 4-3 v millwall But Townsends yesterday is technically the best Palace goal I think I’ve ever seen, up there with that Rakatic finish. Class.

You forgot Jeff Hopkins own goal in that Millwall 4-3 game. I agree Brights in that game and the volley at Plough lane by Wright I suppose when you also consider the quality of the keeper yesterday I agree Townsend takes it.

Given our recent goal scoring record , and the opposition, it has to go down as the best, most memorable, goal. Goal oF the month and a serious contender for goal of the season.

My favourite is Ambrose against Man U
Trivial fact - Palace used to win 5-1 at least once a season, maybe next season? |

Andros has hit three of the best goals of the season to date - away at West Brom in the League Cup, against Burnley, and yesterday's scorcher. His goal yesterday certainly ranks among the best both in terms of the technical skill involved, but also the context. It's just a shame there is no filmed record of Jim Cannon's hit against Ipswich in 1979.

That still takes some beating. Agree. It was in December 2011 at Old Trafford in League Cup. Gary Neville said it was best away goal at Old Trafford in 20 years. It was even further out than Andros and it had a wicked swerve. But I would still place Andros ahead of it because it turned the match our way and brought us three unbelievable points.

John Terry's header was class. Pretty awesome goal yesterday. Top three for sure.

There is also a difference between having the ball at your feet and choosing the moment to shoot, as in the case of the Darren Ambrose goal (still a fantastic effort), as opposed to hitting a ball in the air where you have to balance yourself perfectly and get your timing just right to get a clean hit, as with Andros's goal.
