Would you/have you? I know a couple who have recently got together that are first cousins! Thankfully they are of an age where they have had kids and won't be having more. Weird sh@t but then what do you expect from Chelsea fans!

The only logical reasons against these kind of relationships is, when you remove all the emotive stuff, the potential for family discord and secondly, the reality that it raises the chances of genetic problems to a resultant birth by a couple percent. Personally I'd say it's far more healthy to be operating outside of this stuff but it's also true that some of us react like there's been a crime committed. In some cultures this cousin's stuff is so common that it's the norm.....but that doesn't mean that it's healthy. If you take out the chance of children it really comes down to a family issue and whether you and her are comfortable with that.....I'm talking generally and aren't referring to yourself of course. Yup In East Anglia we have great swimmers, not because of any available coastline but because of all the webbed feet.

I had a friend who did this. What made me feel uncomfortable was that they had such a family resemblance. Edited by ASCPFC (09 Dec 2018 3.30pm)

Reminds me of an old joke our history teacher told us. A true Guernsey romance... I'm pretty sure they are all still up to it. I know a guy from Jersey who's grandparents were the first people in his dad's bloodline to marry outside of the parish. His dad then married a Scouser.

How can anyone fancy their cousin even if they looked like a cat walk model, just plain disgusting. I know it happens but those people had a screw lose. No different from shagging your step son/daughter eww
