I have to say I find this puzzling.
I've always viewed universities as very left wing and liberal, always going out their way to push the voice of liberal views.

To then read that universities hugely under pay ethnic teachers.

Which ethnic teachers? It probably comes down to more IQ than anything else.

IQ tends to map to wealth.

Asians and Jews have the highest IQ averages so unless they were being paid significantly less I'd put this down to the usual grievance anti meritocracy social justice bullcrap that the leftist activists usually push.

Universities have been a key weapon used to subjugate the masses. And you can see the results in our behaviour.
The youth voting for an undemocratic organisation. Doing nothing as our basic rights to freedom of opinion are being eroded. Rejecting national pride in favour of a historical guilt trip. I could go on.

It is left to us slightly less brainwashed oldies to get angry.

It makes perfect sense that some ethnicities are paid less than others.
In principle, Universities preach equality, but in practice, they embrace cheap labour from abroad like any other business.

Academics in Ireland are hugely overpaid and underworked. A lecturer of mine, now retired, was head of the College of Arts. He is English, we sat in his office and gave every lecturer Friday afternoon lecture slots, in order for them to actually stick around. They all believed Friday was a half day. They all rock up around midday on a Monday too so they always have a long weekend.
Since this lecturer retired, my daughter goes to the same university, there are no Friday afternoon lectures again - across the board. Lazy f***ers who do sod all. There is no requirement on them to research or publish either, unlike other countries.
Irish lecturers earn 40-70% more and have only around half the workload of US or UK academics.
Mostly, they talk and lecture pure and utter tripe. It is all an exercise in shouting loudest about the latest academic trend.
No word of a lie, the EU has just given a lecturer in Cork several million to research rap music. I kid you not. I'm sure that will please Ireland's burgeoning homeless people.

This is the kind of thing that makes Brexit look correct. What a waste of 12million Euro. I was an EU fellow and Irish Research Council fellow and can tell you that it is an endless gravy train.
If you look at these again, and think of the titles, there is nothing at all of value there - to anyone. Even the most irrelevant academic could not say any of these projects are useful to society.

This says ethnicities so who is paid less? Travellers/ Gypsies or Asians and Afro-Caribbeans. What university in this day and age would get away with paying a black person less for the same job that a white person gets more for? This sounds like rubbish - academics love a drawn out grievance procedure and legal case. They also love a moan and flounce.

I thought it was a disgusting opinion when you said no culture was any better than any other.

I find cultural relativism not only disgusting and valueless but fundamentally wrong.

So if we are going to express disgust....

Footballers are paid on merit. Regardless of race. Does academia reflect this ? It probably depends upon what subject they teach.

English lit ? Arabic ? Theology ? Welsh language ?

I think that's mostly true....but aren't there limitations on how many foreigners you can have and so on?.....hence you can't just completely pack your squad with the best players in the world and ignore the home nation's footballers if they aren't amongst them.

I will say this - if you are a visiting African or Eastern European lecturer or professor, you will usually get wages better than your normal wages from your home institution. You would not get the same wages as a permanent member of staff would. And I would say - why should you?
