I think we have played very well over the five games against very strong sides,
With a smidgen of luck could have had more points.
Im satisfied with our performances and this is very very different to our previous poor runs e.g under Pardew etc.
Im optimistic..

Any performance that results in United getting booed off by their own fans is a good performance.

Before our run of tough games (starting at Everton) I was half expecting us to end up with no points. As it is, 2 points is not too bad, as long as we can get something from the "easier" games coming up.

Just need a striker. Either Benteke comes back and bangs them in or we buy! Could have been more than a point today.

This. We're a reasonable strike away from being a 'comfortable' mid table side.

We had chances to win the game but our record at Old Trafford is appalling so a point is an excellent result no matter what our form/league position.

Think they said on the radio that this was the first time since the 70s that we hadn't conceded at Old Trafford. The performances have been similar to a few last season, Citeh draw and a late defeat against Man Ure. Think we need to work on our composure and mind set. Roy needs to tap into the players chakras. Lots to say about meditation in regards to composure and even healing injuries. Get the players relaxed and they will produce the goods. Always seem to be like rabbits in the headlights when we play the big boys. We may not be able to match them for quality but if they are off sorts which can happen we need to be on point.

I'm not taking the piss out of you, I think you make a very valid point about the players composure but I now have an image of Roy in his pants floating two feet off the ground in lotus position, thanks for that.

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

I do think it would be better if the players practised their meditation at home in the peace and quiet instead of doing it in the opposition penalty area during the match and when the wingers are sending crosses in towards them.

And it isn't "Om mane padme hum", it's "Wan-Bissaka, Tomkins, Sakho, van Aanholt". Repeat.

Against Liverpool, Arsenal, Chelsea, Spurs and now Man Utd the commentators have said they're "not at their best." Is that true, or is the truth really that Roy has tactically prevented them from playing well? It is actually very intelligent the way we play with players adapting their position according to whether we are on the front foot (eg Meyer moving from the left to behind the front two) to defence (packing the 18-yard box with players positioned to spring the counter). Surely it can't be that of five top teams all of them had an off day against us?

It must be really frustrating for Roy to have everything so carefully orchestrated and yet to lack a player with the composure to find the net. I do think it has become a bit of a psychological thing though and players are over thinking things. Hopefully against more even opposition we can find the goal again.

Similar to how it was when Roy joined us, I get the feeling this tough run of games will galvanise the team and get them focused. Before we went into this run for the first time in years I was genuinely concerned, but we seem to be turning a corner and I think we'll do enough tp find mid table again.

My pleasure.
