Seems he has a back issue and was taken off at half time for France.

Firstly, can’t quite believe he is starting for France, love the guy but he is bonkers.

Secondly, we will need to keep it tight against United so this may not be good.

Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha.

You do know that some international injuries are pretend and that the press love click bait?

Let's see what Roy says before people wet their knickers.

I have been seeing some articles today that after his recall to the France squad, he wants to get back to Champions League football which would obviously be a departure from Palace.

Whilst he has been immense for us, I'm not sure that he is cut out for champions league football.

He is great when he has to defend, ie. interceptions, headers but when he has time with the ball (like he would have with a top team), then he is so prone to moments of madness.

I think Klopp realised that, and he was quite happy to let him go despite perhaps poorer options he had at the time.

I disagree. Yes, he has the odd heart stopping moment but by and large he is one of the most cultured players we have with the ball. He always looks to play forward, usually on the floor and gets us moving forward unlike most of the rest of the team who prefer sideways and backwards

Mamadou has previous for speaking his mind.

He is a top quality defender who we are lucky to have.
If the club does not show ambition then, of course, some players will be restless.
If he gives 100% at Palace then great. Defending isn't our problem right now.

Would be interested to know if the rumors about him wanting Champions League football are indeed just rumours or whether he’s said something concrete to that end.

He’s a very good defender but is error prone, injury prone, presumably on very high wages and is a guaranteed starter here. If he can find a Champions League club willing to look past all that, give us our money back and cover his wages then good luck to him

Sakho is a great player for us and it would be disappointing to lose him. Yes he has the odd drama on the ball but the positives far outweigh these.

i assume it is the case he will be out this weekend.

only option i can see is promoting a kid into the team alongside kelly, i have faith in kelly to do a good enough job, he will need somebody who actually plays CB by trade alongside him.

you never know, nobody knew AWB would be ready until joel got injured.

on the subject of him being sold, anything under £40m and we say no, he cost us £26m just over a year ago, since then he has more than proved himself as one of the best defenders outside the top 6, tightened up our defence and has worked his way back into the world champions squad.

the guys a rolles royce of a CB and i would be gutted if he left.

It's all very well saying he's not irreplaceable. If you're as s*** at transfers as we are then he is.

Sakho is a great player, and probably the highest calibre of centre back we could attract in our current position as a club.

However, can't help but feel the wages and transfer fee we get for him could be spent more wisely elsewhere.

Tomkins is close to being Sakho's equal, for a much lower fee and much lower wages.
