the originals mind, with the legend that is Eric Thompson, not Nigel Planer's updated version which was pony.

Dougall
Brian
Dylan
Ermintrude

I can't see too many votes for Zebedee or Florence, and Mr Rusty has no chance

Ermintrude all the way for me

I think the chant "CPFC, CPFC, CPFC, CPFC, CPFC" (repeat to fade)was based upon the Magic Roundabout theme tune.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry.

no it wasn't, actually Christian Benteke scans pefectly with the theme tune, so if he finally rediscovers his shooting boots we have his chant ready made.

The Magic Roundabout was French.

Would this be an appropriate time to mention the Singing Ringing Tree? That was German.

Robinson Crusoe was French and filmed in Gran Canaria.

Anyone remember Marine Boy? That was Japanese of course.

A nice bit of cultural enrichment at arm's length.

The influx of low calibre American children's TV imports in the 60s and 70s has a lot to answer for. Top of the list was the ghastly, repulsive, insulting, sh*t ridden bollocks that was Banana Splits. Cynical low-budget, lowest common denominator garbage. Utterly disgraceful to inflict that heap of turd on the nation's children.

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham
