Alan Pardew. Just the manager you want to improve your defensive frailties. They spend so much before the start of the season, I can't image they will have enough left over if BFS takes over.
It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses. |

You are forgetting how being Pardewed really works. First the team do well for a while and flatter to deceive. They then become worse than ever and don't seem to try at all. So maybe he would keep someone up whilst emptying their coffers and then get the sack next year.

Would not be surprised to see him here again, if Roy decides to retire or quit.

Poor man he was their hero until very recently. A cruel business, football. They were promoted on the back of football that was really easy on the eye and the expectancy was they would be comfortable in the PL, especially as they has paid nigh on £100 Mill in transfers in pre-season. When one spends that much and reaches the current point in the season without keeping a clean sheet and in the relegation zone then of course questions are asked of the manager. Recently I heard that he had made 12 changes to his back four and 68 changes to his team this season and all-in-all Jokanovic is under gargantuan pressure. There have been suggestions that the signings have been presented to him so they are not his signings but I cannot confirm if this is the reality. As ever when results are disappointing the manager/head coach is in the firing line. As for a potential sacking, in the PL in the last decade there has only been one instance when a club has parted with their company with their manager in November/December and not finishing the season in a higher place - WBA last season. When Pulis left they were 17th and they ended up bottom of the table.
