Totally agree, feel Parish & Co have become far too complacent and have got to wake up and smell the coffee. As per every season,we are now, like it or not,in another relegation battle worsened by having no effective striker. If beaten tonight and again against Man U will see us cement ourselves in the bottom 3. Well done to Parish for failing to sign an effective, proven striker to score the goals to keep us out of trouble.

I expected us to be in the bottom 3 after these fixtures. I thought we'd get nil points so we've got a 1 point bonus at the moment

Being in the borrow 3 is great. Maybe a wake up call for the players who keep making individual errors.

Totally Parish's fault but it's not terminal if he owns up and rectifies it in January. To be fair he usually does when things are going wrong but it's getting frustrating always having to wait until February to get going. Still inexcusable though, we should be in the Bournemouth position right now if it wasn't for awful leadership. One season it'll be too little too late and it might be this one.

End of I suspect, as we won't be doing any business early Jan.

This was always a possibility with the fixtures we had. That said, I am tired of hearing that our performance deserved better or that results will come with this level of performance. It’s goals that win games not performances & we simply don’t have a goal scorer nor the personnel to play 442 properly. I find myself agreeing with those who have blamed the club’s lack of activity in resolving our striking issues for the first time. The gamble on Benteke coming good & the return of Wickham has backfired spectacularly.
Will this be five? It's gonna be five! It IS five! |

until we shell out for a decent striker we'll always be down the bottom end. all very well creating a few opportunities but if there's no one in the box to convert....

Southampton, Newcastle and Wolves at home should have us on an additional 7 points and very comfortable. I don't agree with Roy and the talk about being unlucky not to get a point here and there at games like Everton away etc. Those games should be additional bonus points that if it comes together we have a real chance of top 6. But they should only be on top of the bread and butter games I listed above. It always sounds arrogant for 'little old Palace' but we should expect 9 points from those home games given the situation of those Clubs at the time. Perfect time to play them all for one reason or another and we fluffed it.
