My neighbour, god bless her showed me her school photo. It was taken when she was an 11yo girl in profile. That's nice I said, "yes the Nazis used the picture to judge if I was Aryan enough to go to secondary school. We never told them about my Jewish grandmother though."

Suddenly the picture didn't look as innocent as it should have done.

One more point

Thing is, Pie is equally frustrated that there's no plausible, moderate alternative to the utter sh*tstains currently in power.

He doesn't, by his own admission.

So no he shouldn't get it on that basis, but that grant shouldn't exist to begin with in the first place IMO.

He has a case of the Rachel Dolezals.

Optimistic as ever

That picture of him suggests otherwise.

In truth, there is no way to be sure of your ancestry unless you have a DNA test.
It does highlight the whole absurdity of 'race' and the politics that have evolved around it. We cannot keep blaming 'racism'. People's inability to succeed is more about culture and those within that culture must change it themselves. If it is genetic on some level, then that cannot be used as an excuse for failure. No one is perfect and few get handed success to them on a plate. You have to compensate for personal limitations with hard work if you want to go up in the world.

What you are basically saying by singling out people of one colour for handouts is that they are inferior and can't succeed on their own.
I understand the argument that some sections of society need positive discrimination to undo previous discrimination, but it is a flawed argument. It will only lead to dependency and encourage the victim mentality. It will fail to address the deeper realities. People have to stop blaming others and try to create their own success. Not everyone can, and that is the nature of existence.

He was bullied for that very thing.

I would say that with those features he could well have a Black ancestor. Does he even know if he does or not?
Like I said. DNA might provide the answer but family trees and people's word is not to trusted. Having a Black man's child was not very popular not so long ago.
