Typical Palace. Hold out til the 86 minute and then lose.

Personally I thought that was the best wilf has been for weeks. Hennessy has been really good this season, he is like a new man. He can’t be at fault for the goals. We defended well and looked dangerous on the counter. We just need more up top. Hopefully Wickham can give us something. Plus, if we are playing for a draw, defensive change should have been done on 75 to keep things tighter.

Well it seems this match had polarised opinion more than any other. I did not see it but there's now a Roy out brigade forming at the same time there's a load of people who seem to think it's the best we've played in a while.

They were able to bring on three very good attacking players and they changed the game. Our attacking replacement has had one game against a non-league team in the last two years. I thought Kouyate was a positive for us and gave us a bit more size and steel in the middle of the park.

Think this team with Meyer in for Schlupp will start the game vs. Arsenal! And maybe Ayew for Andros....

I totally agree. He is 6ft 4in and filled in at centre-half for W.Ham when they had injuries. Edited by Willo (22 Oct 2018 1.34pm)

I agree with the comments above. He may not be the most technically gifted, but Kouyate was good yesterday, he must've won atleast 75% of aerial duels he went in for which i was impressed with. I think with the holding 3 of himself, Luka & Jimmy and then Meyer to replace Schlupp, its a team that can potentially have a good season (once we get through these next 4 games, which will no doubt cause some sort of meltdown on here in the mean time). Whatever happens, theres still 87 points to play for, we probably only need a third of those to be safe again for another year (im trying to be optimistic) Edited by RyWa (22 Oct 2018 12.08pm)

What stood out for me watching the game on the box was Schlupp was poor and Andros Townsend has lost his pace he really struggles to beat his man and has become really ineffective which is a worry

With the defensive attention Zaha gets it should open things up for the other players. When those other players are Schlupp, an out of form or possibly finished Andros and MacArthur (tries hard but he is not an attacking midfielder) we are struggling.
