Did anyone else listen to Parish on FYP speak about the transfer policy and recent signings? Someone rolled out a stat about the 7 most recent signings basically not playing for the club regularly yet. Jach, Rakip, Sorloth, Meyer, Guaita, Kouyate, Ayew. First thing he said was we sometimes sign players to make sure we have an 11 on 11 in training......... I was wondering if I heard that correctly, but he actually said that. He initially stated he was absolutely thrilled with recent transfer business, that we couldnt have done any better. Old Steve then backed off a bit and said that some mistakes were made. Most comedic moment was when he was listed all the positives behind each player, and said about Sorloth after a short pause "he had a good game at West Brom". Says it all really. Sorloth should have gone out on loan immediately, he is absolutely nowhere near Premier League level. How anyone can look at our attacking options and think we did well on that front in recent transfer windows is beyond my comprehension. Kouyate and Meyer were good signings, make no bones about it, but in terms of forwards we are seriously lacking, again. Never thought I would say this but I think we really could use Bakary Sako right now, he would definitely be starting. When oh when will we properly manage our squad and ensure the manager has quality and diverse options in all areas of the pitch?
Trump lost. Badly. Hahahahahahaha. |

He also said something like, buying squad players who weren't that upset when they don't get picked for thd first team....or words to that effect. ...

We should of attempted to get one striker of proven quality over all of these transfers if what he said on FYP was correct. If this had happened in Jan they would be a regular by now. Seemed a lot of straw clutching in that interview, trying to find any positive of a poor policy.

“I think you'll find he's stumped up enough cash for his seat.” He took a financial risk for sure, but he’s now well up on the deal!

He's comparing himself with 'normal' fans, most if who haven't got the time or money to attend every game home and away... I give up on this one...

My favourite comment was when speaking about Jach. He said something along the line of "he's been capped for Poland...' like that means something. For example, Frazer Campbell was capped for England... Players get caps for all kinds of reasons, not all about talent. Some people also think all international caps are equal or quote that a player (like Rakip) has played in the Champions League and it is akin to Messi. Even if Jach was a regular for Poland what would that mean in the grand scheme of things? One of the best Polish defenders? Sorloth is a Norwegian international, so what? If it means something to just be an international player then let's just go and buy more Welsh players or other home nations because it must mean they are class. Or maybe I should just Google Faroe Island internationals? (This post is written partly tongue-in-cheek though my sentiments are genuine)

Oh please The signing of jach was done on the inclin of that scout that since chose to leave. They’ve all been under the remit of finding some gems. Obv the scouting system has been revamped since. Sorloth was our managers choice and he has said so Ayew May still come good The way you are talking is that of someone who has already pre determined that they do not like Parrish. The guys a f***ing palace god and some signings will be f*** ups. He can’t just say that can he? You don’t get many chairmen or managers admitting to that kind of stuff Back him, even thru bulls*** answers, because I assure you, once he’s gone, unless some Chinese rich dick fancies us as his next monopoly chelseesque venture, it’s all downhill again when Parrish leaves.
