I had my call from the Box Office I don't normally criticise the club but oh dear The 16 rear rows in Block E are involved. Everyone sitting there 'will have to move'. They couldn't say whether, if I join the Singing Section, I keep my seat. They couldn't tell me what the process is. They couldn't say what would happen or where I may sit if I should decide not to sing. They couldn't tell me how to join the singing section, they simply said it's CPFC and not the HF. I may pop down to the Holmesdale and buy someone a pint anyway to see what I can find out. Must be better organised in the HF than in the Box Office. They did confirm that the singers won't be able to stand They didn't realise I paid for my seat in 1995 for 25 years, so I don't think they can move me easily. They say when it comes to moving I wait until the season ticket holders confirm their renewal, then get first dibs on the non renewed seats. They implied a discount. As I have already paid that offers no benefit to me. I told them this was just dreadful, they should not be having discussions without having thought the very basic aspects through. I asked them to log my comments. I don't expect to get any feedback that isn't just boiler plate nonsense at the time of renewals. Parish, I know you read my posts. Sort it out! I have done work like this in the past and you are handling it truly appallingly. Edited by Mapletree (10 Oct 2018 3.46pm)

You do have my sympathy on this one.

Thanks for the update Maple very informative. I wonder how many more ticket holders in the ground (let alone that area) have 25yr Season tickets all paid up?

I'm at the back of LH...Block F...been there for years, just like a little family up there, seen all the kids grow into young adults and its been great fun. Now this "sitting down " singing section is going to happen.just in front of us to the right, with all the flags, right in front of the goal,we ain't gonna see fck all, it's bad enough when we have a corner from the front of Block B and everyone is standing. So it is not just affecting the people in E,it has a knock on effect to other blocks. Gonna think long and hard about my seat for next year.

Which is what ive saying for ages bout how its going to effect all blocks in the LH in a reverse domino effect. The only good thing, as far as I can make out, it involves the REAR 16 rows in Block E, not the front. Not that it helps you & the others that are already there in Block F
This operation, will make the 'Charge Of The Light Brigade' seem like a simple military exercise. |

In some fashion CPFC are going to work out how to get a load of people to sign up to the singing section. They just don't know how. I dread to think what happens if someone stops singing part way through the year, presumably they will be dismissed and have their flag stick broken over a knee.

It's going to be like pop concert in China but in reverse.

Of course the HF will be there, it will sll he orchestrated ny them, and their 'mates' will take the rest of the seats. You won't be able to stay there even if you do want to sing. This will only be any good if the whole singing section wears the same colors and you don't think the HF will give up their black hoodies do you.
