Not sticking up for these scumbags but there are undoubtedly Tory councillors who are also doing the same in other boroughs. There should be a set nationwide allowance (Including London weighting) & they should be made to sign a legal document if elected stating they accept those payments.
As for poor people voting Labour I have never understood how a working man (or woman) who has aspirations of more than a decent pay cheque & a fortnight on the Costas vote for these sneering middle class types who claim to be 'Working Class' when in fact most of them have gone to university on some BS course like Human Resources other such crap & have never worked a real job in their lives.
The exact same thing happens in The South Bronx where at election time all the Democrats come looking for votes. No wonder when Trump said 'Give me a try, you can't possibly do any worse' he wasn't kidding !!
