Ayew so far played in 2/3 games and what I have seen he is championship standard
Sorloth played 9/10 games scored 1 goal return for a forward not very good and again in my opinion champion standard
Wickham played 34 times scored 9 goals just under 1 goal every 4 games always injured I don't think he will ever be fit enough to play perm football again
Benteke played 75 games scored 20 goals a rate of a goal every 3.75 games again of low standard when he scored most of those in his first year which helped keep us up
All in all there must be a player somewhere at the club who is scoring goals for fun lets bring him in as he can't do any worst than what we have got

Time to go back to Wilf up top with Andros. Scored loads of goals with this system.

I'm beginning to think it's down to our training regime. We get plenty of chances and we just can't capitalise on them. Maybe Benteke isn't just crap because of low confidence, effort or whatever, maybe the way we train players has turned him crap. I'm not saying I believe this 100% but it's something to think about, we have been awful at finishing for such a long time now, I'm not sure bringing another striker in just to maybe destroy their game too is the right thing to do until we sort out what is going wrong with our lack of goal scoring.

Bit harsh on Sorloth, may have played 9/20 games, but how many minutes did he play? A player, especially a young one from another league, needs z run of games and personally I think there's more chance if him scoring goals after a run in the side, than Ayew, who really doesn't seem to suit the way we play.

We seem to be creating the chances but not taking them and this carries on from last season. Putting Wilf and Andros up front worked last season, but we haven’t got the team to play that system again.

Perhaps some shooting practice might be in order...
