Won’t lie, during World Cup I hated itvs coverage due to the fact they had female pundits Put female pundits in women’s game and men in men’s. Unpopular and I’m by no means sexist, I just feel this is a mans job. Like a barbers. Lol.

I would rather look at Alex Scott than Leon Knight that's for sure. That said, I do agree with him. There is also a kind of double standards going on here. Whilst any old ex male could get a gig in the commentary studio, it's funny how only the best looking femail footballers get invited to speak.

Men have been doing the punditry for ages now and the standard is so unbelievably s***. Except for MNF on Sky. Half the pundits can barely string a sentance together (Henry, Claridge and Ian Wright I’m looking at you). The other half are just so dull (anyone on MOTD). And the other half are alright. Maybe the women will help raise the standard a little by actually doing some research and not just relying on their experience to blag their way through in general terms. I think the women will have to work very hard to prove themselves, which will hopefully mean better tactical analysis. And less gobs***ery.

I think the girls in the World Cup freshened up the usual drivel, especially Alex Scott, clear, precise and easy to follow. I get sick of scouse and manc accents and mumbling foreigners.
