Not guilty. What a massive surprise that isn't. The CPS are divs. Never should've got to court.

Living down here does have some advantages. At least you can see them cry. |

I have to say I was a bit surprised that he got away with it completely based on what I've read, was expecting a let off with some kind of community service. Not sure I'd subscribe to the classic 'he's a public figure therefore gets preferential treatment' line. He might well have had the best legal team money can buy, and there may have also been some gaps in the evidence on both sides which made it harder to pass a guilty verdict, but that doesn't equate to conspiracy.
Did you know? 98.0000001% of people are morons. |

You wouldn't have gone to court in the first place. You'd have had a night in the cells and that would've been the end of it.

That the prosecution didn't call the two gay blokes as witnesses, who were in the papers the week of the incident saying that Stokes was defending them, tells you something. The CPS should never have taken it to court. A total waste of time and money.

The CPS should never have taken it to court. A total waste of time and money. Fair enough. The only reason I thought he might get something handed to him is due to the amount of force used, which with the limited context of what I've seen could be argued to be excessive, even in self-defence.

It could be, or it could be argued that he's just very accurate even after a few drinks. He didn't punch them over and over, or punch them when they were down.
