Hopefully Pool would be happy to get 20M for Ings from SH and 16/18M from us for their surplus strikers. I have faith in Roy getting the best from Origi, but for Ings nothing Roy can do would keep him healthy (Shades of Sturridge last window).

Not really seen him play much so will have to ask a Liverpool supporter their views. But if he's in the last 12 months of his contract is he really worth £18m ? Wonder if the deal could be substantially cheaper than that quoted.

His confidence is probably low, and he hasn’t done too much in the last two years. Personally I trust Hodgson’s judgement- I think he offers something different from the other strikers and is defo a gamble, but one (I think) worth taking
