Are there any Solicitors/Conveyance people out there ? Need a bit of advice .I know that leaseholders are bound to the freeholder regarding upkeep of property . But in my Block they are adding another lift ,and as I am ground floor apart from having to pay for something I will never use it will be creating more noise to my flat .As this was not in the original lease is this legal ? Thanks

Thanks It could be argued that if the roof on the block leaked you shouldn't pay for that either. Unfortunately the downside of communal living is that you share the costs of communal living even if you don't use them. It will depend on your lease. My lease has simple majority voting for repairs but 100% agreement required for enhancements e.g. adding a lift. You are correct in your original question you need a solicitor to review your lease.
