Apparently we are in for this guy.

Some people think football is a matter of life and death. I don't like that attitude. I can assure them it is much more serious than that.

Never heard of him, however it won't be an acceptable signing unless it's one of the 200+ Matteo has recommended. He may have I just can't bring myself to read them all.

Scored a lot of goals in the Austrian league but would be a huge step up to the PL. Not sure how credible this is

Well of course the famous person you're thinking of wasn't born in Nazareth but Bethlehem. I think they do the census on the Internet these days though and the road signage isn't such as to require assistance from astonomical phenomena.

I actually wanted to recommend him, but he has never played in a top 5 league so he's unproven at this level. For a medium league like the Austrian one, he did really great. And he is very altruistic and good with the ball, it's the style pf Red Bull Salzburg. They pass the ball a lot and score a lot goals, create a llt of opportunities. Even a number 9 such as Munas Dabbur has got to enter a lot of combinations.

Israel could have actually had a chance to qualify at the World Cup if they had used him mlre, instead the national team manager ignored him. They preffered Brighton striker Tomer Hemed instead, who is more experienced (but I'd say on the old side by now, but nkt of Dabbur's quality.

With Zahavi also retired from the national team ( great attacking player, best player in the Chinese league) , I don't see Israel making it to a final tournament next time either. So, taking into consideration resale value, it's not going to be incresed by Israel's national team, but instead just by what he would do in the PL at club level.

Sorry to say - but Petereagle is right. The usual conversion rate goals-scored:sitters is 1:4 in the Austrian League. Playing a lot of much inferiorer sides a striker of RB Salzburg gets far more chances in one league game than CPFC in 5. Don´t get blinded by Arnautovic - his abilities are outstanding compared with the general playing level in the League.

Mind you, he'll cost a lot. They got him for 6 million, he's the Austrian league's top scorer and he still has 3 years left on his contract (until 2021). I can't see this happening for less than 10 million.

He scored 5 Europa League goals last season; only 1 behind Antoine Griezmann who played one game more. Salzburg got through to the semi finals. This may suggest that his ability to find the back of the net on a regular basis is in fact transferable beyond the Austrian League.

Sounds a little like agent talk to me. I can’t really see us going for him as he won’t be that cheap and is still a gamble. I think we have just had our name pulled out of a hat and been linked with him because of our striker issues.

Hmmmm.. I seem to remember hearing that fairy tale, apparently some people even believe the stories are true. Crazy people of course.
