3 million euros that is, not pounds. Lazio is very close to paying that price to Joangsu Suning, the Chinese club which bought him from Chelsea.

If Paulinho could come back from China and play very well for FC Barcelona, surely Ramires could too.

Yes, there's a 2 and 1/2 years diference between Ramires and Kouyate, but I know who I'd rather have and who has impressed me most, who's the hard worker. And at this cost...10 million versus 2.5 million.

Salaries would be mostly the same. Ramires is offered around 65k ler week by Lazion and he's willing to take that cut from the 200k a week he's having in China just to come back to European football. And I bet he would really like to come back to the PL!

4 million euros in 53 weeks in a years (roughly 65k pounds per week)

I can't imagine Kouyate's salary is less than 70k a week. He was on 65k a week at West Ham, don't think he took a pay cut.

Nah mate - how many more years do you think he's got left? Two max?

And he's a gamble coz he's not been playing in the PL and is old.

I'll wait until I've seen Kouyate play for us this season before I can say if he was worth singing or not...

Jesus Matteo how about supporting the team and signings rather than trying to constantly prove you know more about available footballers than them! “Makes the kouyate deal look rushed”, give us a break from it for a bit eh

I really like Matteo's postings [ I'm sad maybe ? ]

and value his insight. I like the way he doesn't

sit on the fence [ like most 'pundits' ].

But the main reason I like him, is he reminds me

of me about 50 years ago, I had to know every

single thing about every team [ in England ].

Matteo............Question......Our two signings

this week.......any comments?

You were flat wrong about Meyer signing for us. Why should I think you’re any more right about this?

If you come to a fork in the road, take it.

What is Matteo's job then?? I'm assuming from what he posts he must be some type of UEFA licenses scout???

Thing is we are in the premier league and clubs outside know they can demand double the fee and players request higher salary. So although it does appear a decent deal for Lazio I have no doubt that the same costs would not be available to us.

Anyways I'm happy with Kouyate, still a proven premier league player with a bit more fuel still in the tank

He went from Chelsea to China, how big do you think his wages would be?

I had no way of knowing Max Meyer would agree to come to Palace. If I could have spoken to his agent I could have known but I didn't have his phone number. The thing required inside information. If I had been in the club I would have surely known about his availability.

So are you saying that you have spoken to every agent of every player you think Palace should sign? as you seem to believe they would sign if we went for them.
You may have good knowledge of players but have a lot to learn about the ways of the football world (and transfers as I have said previously)
