I still believe that we could do with another striker and Vydra's move to Leeds has just collapsed. Obviously Derby are willing to sell so could be worth a shot. Top Championship scorer last season with 21 goals and 4 assists, he knows where the net is. Leeds reportedly were going to spend 11mil on him so as long as we had that to spend I can't see his wages being extortionate.

Good shout, he always scores goal, he would be good back up and wouldn’t break the bank and if it doesn’t work out a champ club could buy him from us.

Did he have a season in the Prem already? With someone like Brom or Villa. Think he didn't score many either.

Probably less than 5 goals. He could be like Gayle, great in the Championship but not good enough for the Prem.

So much depends upon quality of service that he received; management strategy/ tactics etc. In other words, he could be presented with a new lease of life at Palace...

I think the Gayle comparison is a good one, played for wba in the prem i recall, his name translated is 'Matthew Otter' which is irrelevant but seeing as I know I felt the need to share this with you ... and it's a No from me.

He played in the Premiership for Watford and West Brom.

Played 23 games for West Brom and scored 3.
Played once for Watford and didn't score.

Before anyone accuses me of being the second incarnation of someone who doesn't look at Google, the above information came from Google.

I always thought he was OK. Depends upon the fee I guess.

Jeeze. Just seen that he was going to Leeds for £11 million, and Bamford is £7 million. It is difficult to see us paying that.

He was very young when he played in the Premier League and was only getting few minutes. The number of matches played really says nothing about what he scored. He did ok with his playing time, but Watford invested heavily in other strikers and decided to let him develop in the Championship. He's really fast, Troy Deeney said he was one of the fastest players he ever played with and said he was great.

But at this price....he should have been brough a few years ago, when Watford was asking 4-5 million for him, I was suggesting him for a long time. But, as usual, nobody listens and these players only are taken into consideration when their value doubles.

Don't know if he's worth 11 millikn, quite a few of his goals last year were penalties, so that improved his scoring by a lot. But a player who works hard and can play second striker, no doubt

If we listened to all of your suggestions we would have a 200 man squad...

Has just signed for Burnley. Does anyone know how much for? Still believe he could have been a good signing. Missed a good opportunity here. Just hope we now get Origi

If costs them around £10m then he was a bargain imo.
