I will pin this until the tickets are sold (or I'm told not to), to save you having to bump it.
Bexley Dave Can you hear the Brighton sing? I can't hear a ******* thing! "The most arrogant, obnoxious bunch of deluded little sun tanned, loafer wearing mummy's boys I've ever had the misfortune of having to listen to" (Burnley forum) |

A Millwall friend organised a the same boat trip last year. The police raided the boat and searched everyone for "marching powder". You might want to warn your passengers just in case they fancy a repeat performance.

Not interested in either mixing with coke heads or police raids... there was I thinking it was going to be a pleasant cruise down the Thames with a few beers

My mate likes a pound note and so wasn't too particular who he let on board as he was earning out of it. I was trying to warn the organiser just to take care in case the police try a repeat performance. He didn't get in trouble himself apart from the embarrassment of the story being in the Standard. These days some people can't seem to just have a few beers without a toot. I went to Ascot last year and couldn't get near the men's toilets I wonder why?

Were the old bill searching everyone at Ascot though? I doubt it very much. They love a bit of football fan bashing. Not into it myself, but if people want to it, its up to them. If the old bill want to clamp down on it maybe they should show a bit of consistency and search everyone and everywhere where it may be going on.

I'm using the same boat company that I did for Fulham away a few years ago. Due to the misbehaviour of other clubs fans on other similar trips, they now insist on providing their own security and the boat trip is registered with the police. This will be as it was before - a family friendly boat with music, food and cash bar. I do not anticipate a police raid !! ps - the boat is booked - I am just awaiting final numbers in order to work out the price per person - should be settled by the weekend. Departure now confirmed from Temple Pier 10am with boarding starting at 9.45am
