I think its editor is a former editor of the Guardian......Indeed the elites in the political sphere of the BBC basically apt the Guardian because that's what most of them read. All political bias done on the national purse. Edited by Stirlingsays (17 Jul 2018 6.58pm)

Take this news artical on the main BBC news app. When is a view a main story?
Surely views are just views. Another view might be freedom for authors to print what the hell they want To make money?

I’ve got no point to make, but I heard this story covered on 5Live Drive this evening, and it was a very dull story!

The BBC my favourite subject. The OP has a point I see so called news stories every day that are not news, some are gossip, some celebrity related and some are just an advert for a BBC program e.g. Panorama. I expect that sort of rubbish from the tabloids but you would think that dear old Auntie would keep that stuff away from the news section. By the way the OP missed the story of the Transexual van driver who is suing for discrimination. The company claims she was sacked for other reasons. No doubt a tribunal will be involved but this sort thing happens daily. Now if there is a high court decision that impacts the rest of us then that is news, until then it is just one of thousands of unfair dismissal cases hardly national news.

On the other hand the top stories are generally the ones most read, hence chosen by the public. Maybe we should be happy there’s nothing worse going on in the world than this today.
