For those of us who love cycling and in particular, 'Le Tour' starting soon.

Chris Froome cleared by UCI in anti-doping investigation.

‘UCI has decided to close proceedings against Froome’

Froome: ‘Relieved to put this chapter behind me’

Team Sky rider clear to ride in upcoming Tour de France..

Bad news for the Guardian and other media running their hate campaign right to the wire.

Not sure it was a hate campaign. He certainly had questions to answer.

I don't know all of the details but lets hope this is the end of it.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

It was never really in doubt for me that he'd be cleared after they allowed him to carry on racing, and particularly as he now holds all of the Grand Tour titles.

Still I'm sure they'll be plenty of fans at Le Tour ready to display their disagreement, at close range to him.

Optimistic as ever

I have read that over 30% of professional cyclists have asthma.
What a stupid career move if you need help breathing to carry out your job.
I don't think the general population rate is that high !
Just saying.

According to the British Lung Foundation:-

Quote We found that 8 million people – over 12% of the population – have been diagnosed with asthma. This means more people have had an asthma diagnosis than have been diagnosed with all other lung diseases combined.

This does not mean that there are 8 million people living with the condition, however. Many children diagnosed with asthma grow out of it

So it seems that the majority of the children with asthma grow out of it and it's only those that remain that become professional cyclists

The guy's achievements are the stuff of legends.

The sports medical regulators have accepted the rider's explanation of a high level of asthma drug.

Yeah, Froome has the face of an alien, but he has successfully rebutted all allegations thus far,....so give the guy a break.
Indeed, celebrate his achievements

And just to state, I have had asthma for the last 5 years (I got it at 45yrs) and it ain't nice in sporting events. However, taking (prescription)drugs can massively improve lung capacity and oxygenation of blood.
There are rules,..and Froome ain't broken any,...yet

The tour starts this Saturday.

I love it - it is my chance to enjoy France without the hassle of going there !

And the cycling thrown in - 3 weeks and the chance of Chris notching up a fifth win.

His secret revealed:-

Octopus curry and white rice - big portions to give over 5,000 calories.

If I remember correctly octopus comes with, or without, ink.

Over to an expert somewhere.

Octopus curry and white rice, with a dash of EPO, a sprinkle of HGH and to top it off a bit of Clenbuterol.

cycling was boring before Lance Armstrong, it's now even more boring thanks to everybody being on drugs thus making it more pointless and hence more boring, Chris Froome is not English and is not interesting, though he is highly successful, unlike Johanna Konta who is unsuccesful not English and deeply uninteresting, who was that Bedene tennis player, ridiculous, I'm not including Kevin Pietersen in this, but Froome could win 50 Tours de France and I could not give a sh*t (so there).
