In my view we should ensure all 6 outfield players who haven't played yet either start or play a large part of the game.

The benefits are players we might need later get game time. If they play brilliantly they give the manager a nice problem. In addition the whole squad is more cohesive because everyone has played in a world cup game, and has a shared experience. Other players get rested, before more important games.

We can still win the game with these players, and should go all out to win, not least because Belgium have to rest three or four of their best players because they are on yellow cards.

If we win great morale boost for the whole squad, if we lose who cares? We are then in the easier side of the draw.

35 minutes since you've posted this. I think the bit in bold sums it up for a lot of people.

So far England have beaten The Dog & Duck and The Queen's Head. I expect normal service to be resumed very soon.

I'm guessing that the 18m people that watched us play lowly Tunisia on TV would suggest that you are wrong and a great many people do care

I think rest any players who have even a slight knock but then start with the team you expect to play in the next game.

Perhaps play Delph in place of Lingard to make us slightly more defensive.

I want us to win and do care. A good performance against Belgium and no injuries please. Ideally with a clean sheet and Kane furthering his claim for the golden boot.

It's 106 miles to Chicago, we got a full tank of gas, half a pack of cigarettes, it's dark... and we're wearing sunglasses.

Rumoured that Kane will be one of those rested, but the last set of rumours were a load of bollocks.

As it's a dead rubber, i'd be inclined to change a few that haven't played yet (not the keeper) and bring on others who also haven't as subs.

All the outfield players should get an appearance when you've kind of got a free shot at it. Not that I don't want us to win the game still though.

Optimistic as ever

Some rotation is definitely required. Wholesale rotation would be over the top and might jeopardise momentum.

Plays need to stay involved to keep the team spirits up and keep them fresh. There have been plenty of reports from team camps from previous summer tournaments in all sports about how having players in the squad knowing they are just making up the numbers has killed the camp.

It would also be beneficial if England picked a slightly more defensive starting 11.

Belgium will probably need to do the same. I'm not certain how much strength in depth they have.

I'd like to see Kane, Henderson, and Stones rested.
Probably pick a recognized center back rather than Walker for this one.

Vardy has the pace to get in behind Kompany.

I’ve not been averse to dishing out criticism of England in the recent past, and indeed on this site, but in this tournament, the team and the manager have carried themselves well, and have performed well. England has an identical record against The Dog & Duck and The Queen’s Head to Belgium - a team much fancied by many people to go far in the competition.

Exactly - so many people hoping England fail cos they think's still fashionable to slag off the England team, chomping at the bit to say 'overpaid prima donnas'

Get off the bandwagon....

Not sure about rotation. I don't seem to recall much rotation in the Brazil teams that win a few games now and then, or the Germans. But what do I know?

I’d start with our best 11 then make some subs on the hour mark.
Anyone that could get a ban and Kane once he’s completed his tarick and guaranteed the golden boot.
