Sick of the simulation, cheating, blocking the flow of the game, pretended injuries and excessive time wasting. My God the game can be ugly.
Senegal's second goal scorer, allowed in by officials not having a clue should be banned for 25 games rather then allowed to celebrate a decisive goal.

I think the modern game is in dire need of a revamp of rules or it may get killed within a few decades.

It has always been like this in major tournaments.

Do you really think Simeone was injured by Beckham in France 98 or was he pretending?

Even the Germans and Italians have always thrown themselves to the ground at the slightest touch, so it's no surprise to see so called lesser teams follow suit.

The use of VAR, although inconsistent, is a million times better than in the FA Cup games over here.

For me the frustration is that if a player ends up in a heap in the box, and it gets reviewed by VAR, then it will be given as a penalty if there is any contact shown - it is as if the penalty area is a non contact area now.

Did you not watch last night then?

Well like most things in life VAR won't be perfect .

As for that Senegal goal - I do sort of think the Poles had a point but then it was awful defending by 3 defenders !

Not sure why the first player was passing the ball like that in the first place!

Of course it was, awful goalkeeping as well, however the point was the feigning of injury, then wasting time by getting treatment which in no way is all included in added time then as a reward get the surprise package of being able to confuse the last man and all of a sudden being fitter then fit to run ultrafast.
Blatant, awful, horrible cheating.

Totally agree on that point and certainly won't be the last sadly.

Maybe as they do in rugby its best to leave said player rolling around on the pitch and allowing tratement as the game goes on..

Might soon stop but then they'd probably start holding his head like our very own Richarlison (Watford fan) is an expert at!

Of course I did, that's why I said the use of VAR in the WC is inconsistent.

What you saw last night was clear and obvious Russian corruption.

I hope some corruption is exposed.

It will then justify and override the incompetence and subconscious bias.

Ha ha. I've got to admit that thought popped into my mind after the second one.

I don't think this will come as a surprise to anyone. Russia scoring 8 goals in 2 games! why are they so sh** the rest of the time? England not getting 2 blatant penalties, oh wait, Putin doesn't like us.

All teams (apart from Palace) cheat it's just that better teams have better players that cheat on another level.
