Is anyone else concerned about how quiet things are? I know it’s ‘silly season’ and all sorts of rumours are flying around regarding transfers but something doesn’t sit right with me regarding this whole issue around not releasing our accounts.

Correct me if I’m wrong but as far as I know, the club haven’t come out and defended their actions or provided an explanation and my concern is that this will impact the transfer dealings we do this summer.

It’s certainly not going to help our reputation and I can’t therefore blame clubs for not wanting to do business with us!

I haven’t expected us to complete deals just yet with players and staff having they holidays BUT it’s a poor reflection on our club having these headlines and can only encourage a negative perception.

I imagine that we also need to confirm who will have new contracts in the existing squad and who will leave before rushing off and buying people.

Precisely, why buy before you know what you need.

He was in Tel Aviv with Jordi Cruyff over the weekend...so guess he had better things to do!

We've had 2 transfer windows since the last accounting period ended so whilst a slight concern it is a red herring regarding transfer activity.

Additionally any money owed to rival clubs in the uk is a protected creditor. They will get their money regardless.

With such a high wage bill and with excessive spending over the last few years we need to be careful but money will still be available for the right player, if assuming his current club are willing to sell.

Transfer activity in World Cup years is often quite slow until the tournament is finished.
