Would love to see him join us on the perm. He was brilliant with zaha up front. Reports suggest that palace players would definitely love him to come back.

He wasn;t that great.... Lots of shady games and 1-2 good games. But he left a good impression in his last matches, so everyone just remembers those. I'd take him if he was cheap, but in no way he will be. And he didn't do that much to deserve an investement of 30+ million.

Promised a lot but didn’t really deliver. Although his season was so ‘stop start’ with injuries. He only really looked fully fit for the last few games and he was blinding at the end of the season.

Considering his lack of first team experience he looks an incredibly promising talent. The way he carries the ball and his ability to hold off challenges was impressive and he clearly has awareness for defence-splitting balls. He wasn't great in every game and he didn't always seem committed when it came to defending, but in my opinion he is destined for great things and I would love him back. The reality is if he has a good world cup then he becomes a £25/30+ million player. If we can afford him and if Chelsea want to sell then I think it's a no brainer, but I would say it's definitely an outside bet at the moment.

If he has a good world cup as many have said he would be £30m+ If there was no world cup we may have had a chance just think hes going to be out of our reach now. Unless he bombs at the WC I suppose. As many have said he did not really pull up trees with us enough. I'd give Barkley a go if there was the opportunity.

Difficult decision as whatever happens I can't see Chelsea making their mind up till late in the window....and even then there'll be lots of competition to buy/loan. So do we sit it out in the hope we'll get him or go for someone else in the interim. I think Nick Powell would be a good buy. Price will be inflated from his performances in the cup but would be a fraction of what RLC would cost.

Let's not forget he was playing in an unfamiliar position on the left of midfield and of course he had his injuries this season. He's what the pundits call a Rolls Royce footballer, the way he glides past people, brushing them off with ease and his composure on the ball shown with his goal against Leicester. All this at the age of 22 years old playing a lot less senior games than Wilf had by the same age. If he stays clear of injury, makes the right club decisions, he'll be England's main midfielder for years.
