Today my brother is running in The Great Manchester Run in aid of Cancer research. It is a horrid disease that affects so many people. Our Mum was diagnosed with bowel and liver cancer around six years ago now and amazingly managed to beat it and has been all clear for sometime now despite a couple of scares. He is running it for all people affected but particularly a work colleague of his who recently passed away because of this unforgiving disease. I have only been able to donate a little myself due to current financial position and was gutted to see that he's only raised 33% of his £250 target so far. I did a similar thing to this about three years ago and the response from our supporters was overwhelming. Even one or two quid would be amazing and if you could leave a message so that he knows that it's from one of our supporters that would be even better. Will attempt to put a link to his page at bottom of this message (not the most teccy person but I'll give it a go). I probably wouldn't have posted here again but felt so sorry for him when I saw how few donations that he has received. Perhaps your brother might like to point this out to them. I have made donations in the past for other HOL members and this level of information was not required. They even say it relates to their mailing list.
