It would be nice if Man City stopped appropriating the song. They used it again the t’other evening, at their PL victory celebration.

We (and most others) appropriate "Blue Moon."

It would be nice if they stopped playing it after every goal.

It makes us look like some American baseball cheesefest.... and shouting out the players name.

If you don't know how to celebrate a goal without being guided by the PA announcer then you probably shouldn't be at a match.

You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name.

Turning 50 has really made you Mr Grumpy, hasn't it?

Wife beating may be socially acceptable in Sheffield, but it is a different matter in Cheltenham

Yes, we (and others) put words to the tune of "Blue Moon"- we don't sing "Blue Moon" - but I'm talking about Man City belting out the "The Dave Clark Five" recording at their events, which they seem to be doing with regularity.

Totally agree. I remember there was a lengthy thread on this topic two or three years ago, and the only good thing anyone had to say about playing "Glad all over" was that it annoyed the hell out of opposition supporters.

I'm also reminded of the match when Friedman appeared to have scored, the PA announcer bellowed out his name, then played "Who let the dogs out", followed by "Glad all over". In the meantime the opposition had taken the free kick for offside and the game was going merrily on. Amateurish and embarrassing.

Dean Friedman used to play for Palace, did he? Well, I thank my lucky stars for that!

Well say what you like about de Boer but at least he put a stop to silly goal celebrations.
