true, that’s my favourite verse It would be nice if Man City stopped appropriating the song. They used it again the t’other evening, at their PL victory celebration.

It would be nice if they stopped playing it after every goal. It makes us look like some American baseball cheesefest.... and shouting out the players name. If you don't know how to celebrate a goal without being guided by the PA announcer then you probably shouldn't be at a match.
You fed me, you bred me, I'll remember your name. |

I remember there was a lengthy thread on this topic two or three years ago, and the only good thing anyone had to say about playing "Glad all over" was that it annoyed the hell out of opposition supporters. I'm also reminded of the match when Friedman appeared to have scored, the PA announcer bellowed out his name, then played "Who let the dogs out", followed by "Glad all over". In the meantime the opposition had taken the free kick for offside and the game was going merrily on. Amateurish and embarrassing.

Well, I thank my lucky stars for that!

Well say what you like about de Boer but at least he put a stop to silly goal celebrations.
