Gone.

That's one quarter of the clubs from this season that have now parted ways with their manager, with Conte still expected to follow.

Optimistic as ever

No surprise that Lambert has gone.

By my reckoning there are 13 clubs without a manager at present, although I understand that WBA could be appointing Darren Moore quite soon.My list excludes QPR who have appointed Steve McClaren.

Another baffling appointment like Pardew at West brom. Glad both those clubs went down for showing lack of ambition

I don't think there were too many options available to Stoke when Lambert was appointed in January.

The managers with PL experience were all with clubs ie Allardyce,Pardew,Moyes,Coleman,McCarthy etc etc.I suppose Bilic and Silva were available but I have no idea if they were considered.

But they don't take a punt on a lower league manager or promote within, just the same bunch of names, totally lacking ambition Or imagination

Pinched of the comments on the beeb...but so so true

"Big Sam to Stoke. Lambert to Swansea. Pardew to Everton. Pulis to West Ham

Next season; Lambert, Warnock sacked, Warnock to Swansea. Hughes sacked, Moyes to Southampton. Pardew sacked, Hodgson to Everton. Pellegrino to Cardiff.

Round and round we go."

When Hughes was sacked Stoke were in the relegation zone in 18th place.

Perhaps they thought that an experienced manager with PL experience was vital to their chances of staying up and Lambert was available.Don't know if they considered Bilic or Silva.

Stoke needed tactics not hysterics.

Contrast Lambert leaping about and Hodgson's footballing approach.

We could have actually broken the cycle of never-ending managerial change.

Willo you are becoming optimistic, calm down dear chap.

Never figured out how Lambert managed to jump back on the PL managerial carousel, but surely that's it for him now? A very strange appointment.
