Sorry but no way is Ward good enough to replace Doris and although I wouldn’t have had Coleman in the original team, I don’t think Sakho has done anywhere near enough yet to warrant a place. I do agree with Wilf ousting Salako though!!

Martyn. Clyne. Moore. Sakho. Sansom. Wilf. Gray. Thomas. Bolasie. Wright. Bright. That's based on players I've seen in the flesh, and their playing at the peak I saw them. Johnson was a better player than Bright, no question, but Bright would add more to Wright's game. He'd also suit Yannick so well.

From the best I have seen since 1978 - I'd go; Martyn Manager Sir Steve, Director of Football Roy H, Coach Ray Lew That's a team..!! COYP

COYP I know it was a long time ago and we all have our favourites, but Doris was a match for some of the best wingers around at the time, Robertson of forest, highway of Liverpool, sir coppell of Man Utd, much as Clyne was a good little player, he never even played in the top flight for us!!

Honestly don't understand why Billy Gilbert does not get mentioned on these threads. In my humble opinion he is the best centre back I have seen in a Palace shirt.
