Yeah but I reckon the ref may have incorrectly awarded a throw-in to us early on in the away game. Without that the outcome of the two games could have been far different - butterfly effect and all. (Insert sound of me p*ssing myself!)

I saw a documentary when he was a non league manager, it may have been Weymouth? Anyway he came across as a complete berk. The chairman had to explain to him that if you want the players to behave professionally you have to lead by example. Claridge was forever being late for meetings and the players knew this. The story goes when he was at Palace he was fined every day for being late and after the first couple of weeks his fines exceeded his salary.
