I know there was a thing recently where the Everton Board asked fans if they were happy with Allardyce which is totally disrespectful in my opinion.

Also teams of Everton's size tend to have self-entitled fans that blindly say they deserve a better brand of football and to be challenging Champions League even though they never have before.

But just tuned in to the Everton/Newcastle game and there are flags telling him to get out. I must have missed something. Has he had a pop at the fans or said he supports Liverpool?

Even if they are so arrogant they don't want Sam to get a chance of a full season next year, surely they should be singing his name and praising the job he's done this season.

They were in a massive relegation scrap and now could go 8th. What more could the man of done?

It's an odd one. The same happened at West Ham where the fans decided they didn't like the brand of football he was serving up.

He was a great fit for us - shame it didn't work out at the time.

Everton were never going down, they are perennial slow starters and have far too much talent in their ranks

Allardyce was hitting the panic button too early, they are better than that

This might be what I missed. What panic button? The style of play?

I've watched barely any of their matches but when I have he seems to play Bolasie and Walcott, 2 very exciting wingers with Rooney in a 10 spot behind the striker.

With the players at his disposal that's about as exciting as it's going to get for them right? Had he dropped one of the wingers to move Rooney out wide for a more solid defence or something fair enough but they always seem attacking to me.

I think he means getting rid of Koeman and appointing him, rather than anything Sam has done.

It's a bit like the Zaha situation in that he knows he's appreciated here and doesn't now seem to see the need to make the, supposed, step up to another club. Both Pulis and Allardyce did, while not admitting it to us, and maybe now they would think it's better to have fans that are grateful for what they are rather than thinking I'm better than this, or I deserve better than this.

Optimistic as ever

I like Big Sam but I think he has 2 problems beside all the stuff premier League Managers have to put up with:

1) The new owners have money. For many years under the previous regime the fans had to temper their expectations because they knew the financial situation. They now believe they should be competing with the big boys so they want an upgrade starting with the manager.

2) Klopp. It must be galling to see your rivals starting to lift themselves out of the doldrums and playing exciting football with the possibility of more European glory. The fans anger is actually frustration. This also applies to Man United, if City have another good season next year and they don't bye bye Mourinho.

If I were an Everton fan though I'd be thinking along the lines of they are finishing 8th with a team that isn't Sam's. A team he inherited from a Manager that had them in a relegation battle.

If they have money now surely logic dictates that Sam with money behind him for his own players plus the full season he'll finish better than 8th. I think 6th is the highest they can get anyway, even with Guardiolla in charge so I'd be right behind him.

My point is Alardyce is the relegation firefighter manager and although Everton looked in a spot of bother early on their quality would have pulled them to mid table safety at least. Sam has the luxury of a talented squad to play freely this time so he's playing to their strengths

Think its the away performances that have annoyed them the most - pretty defensive negative performances.

But then again when Martinez was manager the fans were complaining they couldn't defend!

Also Everton fans wanted a big name (or Marco Silva) when Big Sam was appointed - and certainly didn't want Sean Dyche!

Mad. Hope they get their man and go down.

I can't stand the bloke but BF Sam is a very good manager and surely deserves a full season to see what he can do.

I hope they sack him and appoint Marco Silva then fail. The more teams near the bottom of the PL the better.

He’s a class manager but he’s got an image problem. Big clubs (or clubs with pretentions of being big) are embarrassed by him. He was better off here.
