Assuming we stay in Premier League, there will be some tough decisions to make on out-of-contract players
"Crystal Palace have an entire team who could be free agents next summer, including Julian Speroni(15), Damien Delaney(22), Yohan Cabaye(7), James McArthur(5), Wayne Hennessey, Bakary Sako(1, Joel Ward(12), Martin Kelly(14), Chung-Yong Lee(21) and Freddie Ladapo(24)" A lot depends on whether the Getafe goalie comes, and any other irons in the fire, but assuming he does this is my take Adieu: Delaney, Lee, Ladapo In an ideal world, these are all bench players at best next year but you would think we would want at absolute minimum 1 of each McArthur/Cabaye; Speroni/Hennessey; Kelly/Ward to stay

I have a sneaky feeling that Cabaye will go back to France.

As for the OP, I think a lot of those players will be upgraded but seriously not all. Some will be shifted quickly, but others will have to remain in case the right replacements are either not secured or not confirmed. For example, McArthur we can improve on him, but I wouldn’t want to see him leave. Or Wayne, we can improve on him, but I would not like to see us sell before we’re covered.
So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet. |

Henners is gone, as fans our treatment of him has just been horrible, every interview he gives he basicly says 'i know the fans hate me but im working hard to try to win them over' actually really feel for him. He deserves to be at a club that appreciate him, rather than 25'000 fans hissing at him for not being a new goalie...

I can deal with most of them going, but not McArthur. He's basically our Kante, budget, but we can't afford a proper Kante. I'd never let him leave.

That would actually make a good stand-alone topic - which player did fans hate at first but managed to turn them round

McArthur and Cabaye to stay (it's hard to find a replacement for such a gifted player like the Frenchie is, you might find yourself relegated next year if it doesn't work with a new signing). All the others I don't really care about. There can be massive improvements with little money on what they offer. If you want to finish in the top 10 and not be in the relegation fight anymore, they ought to go (even Ward). If you're going for continuity it's gonna be the same 12-15 place next year (if no injuries to Zaha and Townsend) Edited by mattteo (23 Apr 2018 12.15pm)

I don't think the club will sell him. As you said, who would we bring in. He scored 17 last season, which pretty much kept us up. Hopefully he goes to the World Cup, gets some game time and some goals and comes back with a clean slate, a bit of rest and some renewed confidence. We certainly need another striker though!

Isn't Sako on 80 per week, as we picked him up on free. I imagine he will try the same game - with Wolves a more likely destination I'd keep McArthur as well - though make sure he only plays in central midfield

Townsend. Under Pardew he was pathetic. I guess Pardew did as a player - for 5 minutes
