The Southern Poverty Law Center has removed the 'Field Guide to Anti-Muslim Extremists' from their website after attorneys for Maajid Nawaz, a practicing Muslim and prominent Islamic reformer, threatened legal action over his inclusion on the list. (Extract from article) Here's still going to sue though and I hope he takes this once great institution (but now politically progressive) to the cleaners for its treatment of Islamic reformers.

Just skimmed through their web page and they the SPLC is simply another SUTR started with good intentions exposing KKK et al, but now Its core mission is trying to marginalize and shut up even mildly right-of-center voices by calling them instruments of hate, racists the same old boring rhetoric.

Yep, it receives a lot of funding on the back of its name and in tribute and acknowledgement of King. But now it's just an instrument of progressive politics.

the kind-hearted interpretation of the Holy Koran is certainly more desirable than the angry Fire & Brimstone interpretation.
The enlightened ones, choose to ignore it. Lefties have the nice socialism of 'the welfare State' and choose to distance themselves from the Killing Fields of Pol Pot. Every ideology is capable of having a dark side. Even 'Saint' Mother teresa of Calcutta, had a mean-streak. As an athiest, i got a problem with toxic ideology and its advocates who feel duty bound to behave abominably.

There is some validity in the recognition that interpretation is all and that there are Muslims....secular/cultural and so on who are not an issue for western civilisations. However, when you point out the problematical issues with the Bible it is important that you don't leave out the vital reasons why large numbers of Jews and Christians aren't interpreting their holy books literally. The Qu'ran is believed by Muslims to be the 'literal' word of God. That is not the accepted view of the Bible. The Bible is meant to be 'inspired' by God but written by man. That's why it is far easier to modify and interpret the Bible than it is the Qu'ran. Many people have tried to suggest that the Qu'ran isn't the literal word of God.....many of them died for it. A few years ago, we had the Jerry Springer show here.....Jesus being portrayed in underpants......plenty protested, no one listened, no one died....show carried on. A few years back, some French cartoonists..... Massive difference.....it's not even on the same page.....Comparisons shouldn't leave out the stark differences between how the religions are generally viewed by the majority of its followers. Doesn't take a lot to be alt-right these days. I wonder if people think it actually means soft-right

People who use it don't really understand the difference between the right and the alt-right. Mind you I wouldn't regard the Tory party as right wing these days, except economically......they have completely gone social progressive and don't represent a large section of their grass roots at the moment. The alt-right believe in and want a white ethno state. Some of them want it to be 100 percent white with no race mixing some of them just mostly white....like Montana, which is like one percent non white. They are in complete dreamland. Most of them are anti semitic and a lot of them, not all, believe in Jewish conspiracies.....it's something they share with many (not all) in the far left. That's the real alt right and they populate Youtube blood sports streams like Warski live or Nick J Fuentes shows among others. Most right wing people aren't alt right. Most right wingers like me don't agree with ethno states being healthy (even though practical ethno states exist around the world) or that Jews are some terrible group. The centre right these days are missing a party...Apparently loving your country and its culture and thinking immigration is too high is awfully racist....I follow people like Sargon on Youtube....he's started the liberalists and he's was arguing with the alt-right for a while. Still, regardless, he and other moderate to right wing people get called alt-right ....because....well, politics in this country has gone completely wacko.....the nutters have literally taken over the mainstream TV news media and universities and corporations and politicians are cucking to them.
