Eagles soar... while Seagulls eat from binbags

An Eagle is top of the food chain.
The Seagull follows the trawler, waiting for Eric Cantona to throw up over the side

The Eagle has magnificent plumage.
Seagulls are often spotted in Tesco bags.

The Eagle's Mating Call can range from a magnificent, cackling laugh, to a high pitched whistling to a sort of piping rasp.
A distance seagull sounds like the wheezing chest of a chain smoker.

An Eagle eats carrion.
A seagull eats your carryouts.

An Eagle swoops on its prey with devastating speed and precision.
A seagull only dive bombs on an old lady's pasty.

Eagles eat what they want.
Seagulls eat from binbags.

Is this a bit too parochial?

Apologies to anyone who if offended on behalf of Seabirds.

Around the West Coast of Scotland the seagull is colloquially known as the "S***ehawk". Because it follows your boat in the hope that you'll catch or throw some fish for it, hovers over the well where you sit at the stern of the boat, then s***es all over you from a great height.

The Eagle is a rarer but somewhat more majestic sight. There are some nesting around the Sgurr of Eigg, for example (or there were when I went there which is some years ago now; perhaps they've been relegated since then).

Unfortunately those squabbling annoying birds that crap on you and steal your chips are a protected species here in Australia. You can’t even throw rocks at them or put poison down for them. Worst of all the local a soccer team is nicknamed the Seagulls. I had trials, but apparently I wasn’t enough of a cvnt to play for them!

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

Thanks Chateau and PTstrutt.

Maybe Brighton fans should be known as The Gullibles.

The eagle is highly appreciated in Austria. This is stressed by the fact that it is emblem in Austria´s flag. It´s courage, bravery and strength is symbolized by blown up chains around its legs.
The seagull is a temporary immigrant during winter-times. The german translation is "Lachmoewe" which could be translated as a bird causing you giggling. It is considered as a menace by destroying monuments by its favourite waste of time! Finally, it remains to be said that the eagle is strictly protected by law whereas the seagull is definetly not.
