This is something that has emerged since Xmas and has a lot to do with not only his good form where he's been looking a proper LB but his effort to connect with the fans on social media and show he likes it here. For a player many including myself wrote off as a bit of a mercenary he seems to enjoy playing for the Palace and that's always going to endear him to the fans. More of this please Pat

The new Calvin Andrew?

So I manage a Workshop which provides a safe learning environment for blokes struggling with PTSD and other mental health issues. Being a Palace fan isn't listed yet.

To be fair he has grown on me, in fact my only interest in the recent Holland v England game was that he was playing for the Dutch!!

Yeah I didn't see it coming. Maybe healthy competition has been the catalyst for this focus and professionalism. Plus of course Roy.

I've said all along that he was a very Palace player, even when he was struggling a bit, I just think he suits us well for some reason. Maybe it was because, I think it was his first game, where he started giving it some to the opposition's fans.

(I've just had a look and I think it was the win against Bournemouth)

Bangell - If Camus wrote The Myth of Sisyphus today, it would be about Jason Puncheon eternally trying and failing to pass with his right foot.

Funny because at the time I thought he should be focusing on performing, which he wasn't, enough. He was giving it to a few sets of away fans for a while.

Seems like a good lad with the right attitude, but for me he's not up to the job of playing left back in this division. He just makes too many mistakes.

I like him, puts in the effort and has a decent attitude. He is prone to an error when defending so he fits right in here.

I actually think he'd make a half decent winger.

That seems to be the case with all our left backs at the moment, PVA, Schlupp and Souare, all better going forward than they are defending!!

He plays with a hard edge to his game, and fights for everything. Plus he seems to enjoy playing here.

The match I went to last year, he stayed on the floor to kill some time when we were ahead, right in front of the away fans. They were giving him crap for it. After he got up and no one was looking, he stopped to smile and give them the finger.

So yeah, I like him!

I would describe him as a not very good winger.
