Not a fan of the maris piper, nothing wrong with a king edward, baby pearls have their place, as do salad potatos, but I think the classic Baking Potato is very versatile as well as providing an entire meal if thoughtfully prepared. Maybe you go for roasties, Jerseys or a good chipper?

I'm on holiday in Lanzarote at the moment and Papas arrugadas are served at most restaurants accompanied by mojo sauce

Lots of favourite potato dishes:- Pomme Anna-sliced potato layered with seasoning, oil and butter, cooked and turned out and cut in portions. Lyonnaise-potatoes and onions, bit of fresh chopped parsley to finish. Dauphinoise-floury sliced potatoes, cooked in double cream and garlic for around an hour and a half! Can add grated cheese on the top if you wish just to be a pig! Mashed potato with cooked chopped leeks & onion. Finished with some grated parmesian and chedddar cheese finished under the grill!

I used to like red rooster potatoes for roasting However, Maris Pipers also make good roasties and also mash (mixed with a bit of sweet potato, butter and milk) Baked potatoes are great, but although the texture is excellent, they lack flavour. So it all depends on the filling Golden Wonder salt n Vinegar or Prawn Cocktail
I disengage, I turn the page. |

Dirty fries out of M&S. Chips topped with cheese and jalapeņos and some sort of barbeque stuff.
