Ok, so what are people's thoughts on how this will go? For me at the minute i just favour Joshua based on the fact that he's tasted the atmosphere before and will likely settle down quicker getting into his rhythm with that telegraph pole of a jab...BUT...he has to keep Parker at distance so he doesn't get caught. Parker for me has a punchers chance and should be strong in the early rounds; but having been on the floor a few times already before getting up to win show's Joshua's heart. For me Joshua in round 10 by KO

A while back I would have said AJ all day long. I still think he can do it but... they way he failed to put away Carlo Takam shows that a tough, rugged puncher can make life difficult for him. My prediction is AJ to stop Parker sometime round 8-10 after suffering an early scare.

Parker has good work rate, movement and stamina but looks too small and doesn't have the one punch power to frighten Joshua. I can see Joshua hooking, jabbing and leaning and wearing him down over six or seven rounds.

SKY and Eddie Hearn have done a good job of making this fight look more even than it is. Anyone can get knocked out at heavyweight but who has Parker fought who was any good? Anyone who watched that embarrassment of a fight with Dillian Whyte last week will know how opponents are talked up. Browne should not have been in the same ring.

This could be a real test for Joshua and I wouldn't be overly surprised if Parker caused a major upset.

Parker has a World Title, so he can't be too shabby in the ring I can see Joshua trying to wear Parker down with the jab, and Parker trying to get the knock-out punch in, relatively early Of course everyone is saying how evenly matched it is, but that's the way to sell tickets and Pay-Per-View. Joshua has to be the bookies favourite, but not by much Joshua to up the tempo in the later rounds and win by TKO (round 11)
I disengage, I turn the page. |

AJ will probably knock him out within 8 rounds, unless he gets headbutted flush on the nose early in the fight again.

Lucas Browne had a world title. Not a real one (WBA regular, AJ has the WBA Super i.e. proper world title), and he had it for about 5 minutes before testing positive for drugs.

Whilst not many would back Parker, I think he has enough to at least make this interesting. It's hard to see what he does better than AJ though, may edge hand speed but little else.

Hand speed, footwork, ability to take a punch, I'd argue he matches him for stamina. Think Parker will run Joshua a lot closer than people think. May even catch him in round 4 of 5. Not that I'm biased or anything.
