now lets take 3 points off those barbarian Huddersfield Huns, and celebrate world Alcoholism day in style. May all your troubles be as few and far apart as my auld Grandad's teeth. Edited by PalazioVecchio (17 Mar 2018 10.07am)

It's late this year as St Patrick's day normally falls during the Cheltenham Festival which is a time when Ireland is empty as all of the Irish are crammed into Gloucestershire

Maybe Cheltenham was a bit early - St. Patrick's Day is ALWAYS on 17th March!

Happy St Paddy's day mate... a great day in the calendar for celebrating.

Let's hope England rugby spoil it for them, although I will raise a glass of Guinness to the 6 Nations champs. Edited by mr. apollo (17 Mar 2018 11.28am)

I am of Irish descent I class myself as English. I will celebrate St Patricks day when the Irish celebrate St George's day in Dublin. C'mon Palace and England.

The BBC was full of St Patrick’s day this morning and I thought that it seemed totally over the top compared with St.Andrew and St David days and of course St George barely ever gets a mention.

Seems fair enough. anyway, St Patrick was Welsh but of Roman stock. thank christ he drove the snakes out of ireland, otherwise when we collapse drunk on the street we may have a cobra to deal with. edit.... 3 points at Huddersfield plus a Grand Slam.
